This book actually pissed me the fuck off during a certain interaction with the ex. Kudos for that. Definitely a recommendation if you’re down for a spicier pick.

Quote from the book that I absolutely loved:

"We’re all made of memories, but we can’t remember them all on our own."

It's 100% dead on. When you spend years with the same group of friends, you get to the point where no single person in the friend group remembers everything you've been up to. And it's when you all get together again and start talking, that all the memories start coming back up. Because everyone saves different memories.

This was my first ever Tessa Bailey book. It was a collaboration with Eve Dangerfield as well. I still am processing this book that I picked up. I think this was the first time I picked up a book thinking I knew what it was about to be absolutely smacked in the face with, “What just happened?!” It’s heavy on a BDSM kink, that’s for sure. Something I haven’t read about in a RomCom before. Certainly there were times it was a bit much for me, but I don’t want that to discredit the book just because it wasn’t something I personally like? So I’ll take it for what it is and can say the entirety of the book was cute. It was an easy, funny read.

Unfortunately, I personally do not like the format this book is written in; third person will never satisfy me fully as a reader. Sure it makes bouncing around the characters a lot easier without changing chapters for example but because of that I found myself sometimes having to re read a paragraph to know what was happening. It jumped time and scenarios very quickly that I felt like it was pulling me out of the book sometimes. Now don’t get me wrong, the writing is good. I have laughed out loud multiple times and loved the descriptions of the environment and character’s actions, but I never was able to fully lose myself in this book like I normally can.

Do I recommend this book? Sure why not. But i’d be super expressive on what someone is getting themselves into, because it shocked me so much that it took me out of the book a bit.

This book was so fun. It was equal parts smutty and hilarious. This charming and witty couple had me hooked in the first 2 chapters. I couldn't put it down!

More like 1.5 stars.

This came highly recommended on a subreddit I'm part of so I bought it. I don't want to say I regret it but... well, I kind of do. I finished it only because I bought it. If I had gotten it from the library, I wouldn't have made it past 10%.

When you go into a book expecting a cute romcom about an aspiring stand-up comedian and instead discover a book about a girl with a stalker kink…well, you know it’s going to be a good book.

This book had SO much going for it:
- Grumpy/Sunshine
- He’s massive/she’s tiny
- REALLY well-written heroine
- A teddy bear hero

I was going to love this book no matter what. But the way Blake takes Autumn’s wish to be stalked and taken captive in a consensual way and creates this elaborate sex game for them just had me swooning a bit (yes, I know that’s probably not a normal reaction to stalking). He gave her exactly what she wanted, and it was HOT.

Holy hotness! A fantastic collaboration between two authors that pushes your boundaries in the best ways.

A tiny Aussie veterinarian ex-pat living in NYC has been obsessed with her grumpy, ginormous, and secretly sexy landlord since she moved into her apartment.

So now that her terrible, cheating ex has left the building, Autumn has been indulging in her secret fantasy of having her landlord stalk her, kidnap her, use her...by drawing erotic comics of him doing so.

When landlord Blake accidentally gets his hands on one of these comics, he's stunned, bewildered, and turned on. He can't believe the beautifully blonde, eternally sunny, and seemingly innocent Autumn is into his own personal kinks.

But, Autumn definitely is into it, and Blake agrees to make her fantasies come to life, as long as she also goes on three dates with him.

Chock full of so naughty scenes you'll never forget (Stairwell! Closet!), this is not a book to be missed in 2018. Plus, there is a fun cast of supporting characters, Aussie lingo, and hilarious stand-up comedy!

The best parts of all are the fully consensual nature of Autumn and Blake's play. Blake is insistent on Autumn's full participation (as he should be) and always makes sure they are 100% equals.

So, while the kink is not really my cup of tea, but it was for the time I was reading the book....;)

This book totally surprised me and has very quickly become a new favourite. I started it thinking I’ll just read a couple chapters and then get to work and instead I could not put it down and finished it in one sitting!!

Autumn was a really loveable character and someone whose internals struggles I could really empathise with. Blake was fascinating and I was really interested in learning more about him as the story progressed. I loved how Autumn’s light balanced his dark, and how they save each other in the end. I think their struggles were very realistic and there wasn’t any unnecessary miscommunication or a third act breakup that didn’t fit with the plot. The writing and the story are both amazing and had me totally hooked.

I also loved how the book set off at a good pace and there was a lot of really hot and really sexy spice <3 My literal only complaint would be that I would have liked to see more of their scenarios on page rather than briefly referenced as time progresses quickly at some points but I can understand why it couldn’t all be included.

Will definitely be reading this again and getting a physical copy too!
