Had me laughing, cheering, mourning and dreaming with the characters
Diving into this series turned out to be an unexpected pleasure. There are tons of fun reads in this genre, however most never escape being just that -- a fun but ultimately pretty shallow read.
The characters, worlds, and epic story line in these books is vastly more wonderful to experience as I found my self captivated by the narrative, and deeply enjoying the emotional roller coaster as Alex tries to saves the world around him, again and again.
