I normally only review actual books but I’m a part of Tyndale Publishing Blog Network and when I saw that they had Bible Jumble for Kids available for review I decided to go for it. I teach First Grade Sunday School so I thought they would be great to help me check it out.
It is divided into seven categories. Six of which are puzzles and the last is the answer guide. Each of the six sections are both similar and different. They all have words for the kids to un-jumble, and at the top with the title of the puzzle it gives a Bible passage. I like that it gives a Bible passage cause if the clues don’t help then they can work on looking things up in the Bible to find the answer. Some sections are harder than others cause like others it can have a mystery word to figure out at the bottom from some of the letters of the words un-jumbled. The thing is that it doesn’t always give a clue for those.
The answer section shows each of the six sections of puzzles. I kind of wish it would have listed the answers by page number to make them easier to find. Overall though I like the puzzles, the kids have fun seeing how much they already know of the Bible and if they have to look up the passage on the page then they will learn more. It also helps with learning the spelling of names, places and other things from the Bible.
