I started out thinking that the book would be a very short one and that got flipped up, The books writting isn't sanitised like the newer versions I only saw one word that nowadays wouldn't be used but if you remember it was created in a different time. But the very brief use of a word doesnt deflect from the good story.

I remember that when I was 8 to 10 years old the Hardy Boys seemed pretty cool. Hell, what's not to like about boys with motorcycles and motor boats? Clearly, I didn't have well developed critical skills.
A lot happens in this book that makes very little sense in light of things that happened only a few pages previously. Obviously, the books aren't written for people looking for logical sense, just lots of action, danger, motorcycles and fun. The Hardys have all that, but I think I've matured in the last half century and need a bit more these days.

Frank and Joe are back at it. This time trying to help their father catch a crew of smugglers. The action is non-stop in this one and all their friends (Biff, Tony, Chet, Phil, and Jerry) help out and have a role to play in solving the mystery. Quick, easy nostalgic read!!
