YES, YES, YES! This series is absolutely filling the void the Empyrean series left in my heart—LOL. I'm seriously loving the FMC. She's strong, selfless, confident, and a total warrior baddie.

The ending was wild, and now I’m counting down the days until Book 3 drops in March 2026.

The MMC really surprised me in a good way this time. At the end of On Wings of Blood, I felt pretty apprehensive about him, but in The Bond That Burns, his character showed some genuinely pleasant growth.

Spoiler Also, I LOVED the moment when Medra discovers she’s been betrayed—again—by Blake in the dragon courtyard. Even then, she doesn’t immediately turn on him. Instead, she stands by him, which I found incredibly powerful. I really appreciated the state their relationship was left in after all the chaos in the last 5–10% of the book.

I’m beyond excited for the next installment. If you’re wondering whether to start this series—YES, you absolutely should!

That ending? Wow. So good. Can't wait to see what happens to Blake & Medra. Just wish he'd call her Medra, at least in his inner monologue.
