Packs a lot in in 170-ish pages! The FMC gets a complete character growth arc outside of the romance, and the romance breathes a little bit before getting to intimacy. I really enjoyed this why-choose story that felt complete at the end.

I really enjoyed this short and spicy read! I’ve been wanting to read some Halloween/fall vibe books and this hit the spot. I loved watching Rosemary face her fears and grow into her powers. I also loved her relationships with Renwick and Silas. Very spicy!

“‘I don’t believe in jealousy, Rosie.’ I scoff at that, ready to call him on his bullsh!t. Who doesn’t believe in jealousy? Like it’s a thing he can just pretend doesn’t exist? Only, before I can get the words out, he leans in even closer to murmur into my ear. ‘Not when sharing is so much more fun.’”

Loved it! Rose, a fiery witch, finds her place and found family at Edgar’s acres. She needs to train her magic and trust herself again with the help of an annoying but loveable Demon and the sweetest Shade. I enjoyed the immersive world building and plot line. I can’t say no to a why choose

The book felt longer than it was in the best way. The story telling made you feel like you could see it like you were in the world yourself

Loveeeeeee it!!! It was fun, fast paced and super spicey. I thought the premise of a haunted Manor was the perfect, fun spooky season setting. The characters were fun and sweet and kind. I loved all of them dearly. I liked everything about this book. If anything, I wanted it longer so I could have more time with Silas and Ren and Rose. Silas is probably my favorite though, but then again I'm a big fan of shadow play sooooo this worked out nicely!

I highly recommend if you want a sweet palate cleanser with delicious spice, this is a great book option for you. 5/5 so much fun!

I don't think there will ever come a day when I won't love something Leigh writes.
She has such a talent with words and stories, always able to convey so much with so few pages.

This is the perfect monster romance, with three excellent leads who balance each other out, bringing out the best (and worst) of one another.
The banter between Rose and the demon Renwick was incredible. He knew just which buttons to push to make her believe in herself as much as he did.
Silas was my favorite, so quiet in his love and support, so trusting in her.
The scene where she uses his shadows? So freacking hot!

And don't let me start on the spice of this story. The scenes with two beings were fantastic, nothing to say. But when they are all together? Let me say I re-read them three times!

As much as I love the smut, I would've also liked to see a few more scenes with them doing ordinary things, maybe going on a date or something just as simple.

I want to thank Leigh from the bottom of my heart for sending me the ARC of this novella, which I'll buy in paperback as soon as it comes out!
