Compared to the other books it wasn’t as good in my opinion.. I was getting very annoyed with Eric and his constant talk about his age! It was okay the first few times but omg it was brought up almost every chapter!

Even with that said I did like Kyle and Eric together they brought out the best qualities in each other.

I would recommend this to people who love the series, but not as your first standalone of the series (if that makes sense)

A great age-gap romance! Eric, newly divorced and on the verge of retirement meets the far younger Kyle, an enthusiastic and flirty bartender who offers to show Eric the sexual ropes (even if this wasn't a romance novel you could see where this ends up). I really liked the push and pull between these two, and it was certainly a case of me yelling at my book to just talk to each other (so not quite miscommunication, more just...not communication...). It was sweet, I liked it, but I'm not *obsessed* with this one like I am with some others in the series! Definitely worth the read.

Started off cute and Iiked it for 40% but the friends with benefits along with  Bennet constantly thinking he’s a bad person with the miscommunication just didn’t work for me. It’s cute to see other characters from previous books.

Would have been a 5 if I just had some more time at the end with Eric & Kyle actually together instead of them being in a FWB situation.

Really well written and honest book. I loved how the sex scenes actively pushed the plot forward in a way that so many don't. The emotion and the way both main characters had revelations and discoveries that they had to interrogate later was wonderful and masterful. Overall an excellent book, I appreciated the references to previous books and loved the interplay between sport and student.

This one was good but a bit forgettable. It was sweet, steamy, with an age gap that made sense and was dealt with in a non-icky way. My biggest complaint was that miscommunication or lack of communication was really a whole trope in this...
the only reason for the third act break-up was literally them just not talking to each other and making assumptions.

Loved following up with Kip and Scott through this book.

This was cute and sweet, and I had a good time reading it. However, I can’t say I really felt a romantic connection between them both, only really a sexual tension. That being said, it was really really hot.
