I really enjoyed this. The Cloisters Museum in NYC was 1 of my favorite places to escape the city. The story twists were not predictable.

Ann Stilwell just finished college with a mayor in Renaissance Art. Now she is moving to New York City to spend her summer at the Met … only to find out that she is not going to work there. Instead she starts working at The Cloisters, the Met‘s Gothic museums and gardens.
Soon she gets sucked into the deep relationships with her boss Patrick, his assistant Rachel and gardener Leo, as well as the Patrick’s obsession on tarot.
Soon she discovers a long lost set of tarot cards and starts playing a game of power, strange friendship and ambition.
I really enjoyed this one even though I am not sure I like Ann or the stars she takes to reach her goal. I think her transformation from a small town girl who seems lost in the big city into a relentless woman is kind of a lot. Some of the revelations towards the end of the book I really didn’t coming and maybe they were over the top but I still enjoyed them.

wanted to like this so bad because the vibes were great but i just found the plot and characters boring so it was soooooo hard to get through. some great lines in there tho and such a gorgeous cover!!
