Random Bookshelf Read 2:

This book ended up being more mystery/thriller then the spooky/mystical I expected but I enjoyed it overall.

The Good:
-Atmosphere and vibes.
-Mystery aspects were well executed with clues dropped throughout.
-The building tension and last act.
-Tarot card themes.

The Bad:
-Two thirds of the book dragged hard.
-Its VERY academia focused.
-The delivery of the paranormal aspects.

This book dragged like a bucket full of concrete attached to your leg.

It was a tough book to rate. The storyline was great, however the "bad guy" I kind of figure out. The ending however kind of threw me for a loop and it's what saved the book from getting a lower score.
I wish there was just a little more focus on the characters in the book. Why they tic they way they do.
I found the tarot portions of the book very enjoyable.
