What a read.
I can’t believe they can see Amphibia again 10 years later!!!!
What an amazing journey though.

I read this in one day. I had no idea the journal was going to go beyond the ending of the show!! It was just one entry but it gave me so much closure!!!

This was sooooooo good! I loooooved this book so much! It totally lived up to all the hype! It was such a beautiful and emotional addition to this beloved series. The first thing I loved was how the book managed to add on an all new plot and story, rather than just going through creatures and places in Amphibia. Marcy's story in here is definitely what "Amphibia" would have been if Marcy was the main character. We get just as much plot and new characters as we do in the original series. Adding onto this, I also loved how so much is added to the characters and their development here. Now that more can be written out in its own story, we get so much more to the characters than the show alone was able to give us. Reading their thoughts and feelings adds so much more depth to the characters, and it honestly makes characters like Marcy and Anne more tragic than you would originally think. The illustrations also added so much to the book. Not only because it made perfect sense for a journal, but because they are just so well-drawn, and each drawing fits the mood perfectly. Finally, I also loved how well-written the book is. It sounds exactly like how Marcy (and in later cases, Anne) would write, and it knows how to sound in each place. It knows how to tell an action-packed adventure, it knows how to write philosophically, it knows how to be emotional. Not once was the writing bad in this book. Overall, this is the perfect book for all "Amphibia" fans, and is just a perfect book in all areas.
