It honestly feels like this author comes up with funny quips and situations and wrangles her characters into the situation. I rolled my eyes so often, it was annoying. It also feels like she *loves* the friends-to-lovers trope way too much with three out of the five books I've read being some version of this. I thought this book was going to be about two strangers who fall in love because of the weird situation they're in and I honestly think the book would've been stronger if it had been written that way rather than two friends who fell out of relationship with each other because of misunderstandings and who come back together in a weird way.
Also scones are the worst tea food - where are the ittie-bittie sandwiches? the cookies? The British have given us SO much in terms of tea food and Emma loves scones - the driest worst part of tea food?
Sorry, I hate it.

DID NOT FINISH: 20%

Main character too self centered and immature. I rolled my eyes too much at the story.

This was a cute story. I enjoyed this second chance romance. June and Levi end up in a fake relationship to fight the negative gossip they’re both suffering through. What they don’t realize is there’s more there between them. I always enjoy a good fake relationship romance.

I enjoyed Natalie's narration of this one.

Thank you Macmillan Audio for my copy of this book.
