Really enjoyable romance novel. The story flowed well for the most part and kept me engaged. I loved June as a character, but feel like Levi could have been a bit more developed. I really hated how quickly June glossed over Levi telling Kelly about the pact - and the references to him walking on the beach with her hand in hand, moving back into the apartment, bringing two coffees in the morning, etc - in my opinion this wasn’t explained well enough and June let him off the hook way too easily.

You've become an internet meme after your boyfriend of 10 years breaks up with you on reality TV for someone he's been doing a business competition with --

Your high school crush and best friend - is also broken up with publicly when his fiancé cheats on him with a move star.

He comes back to the hometown to take a break.

She's running the tea shop - she dreamed up with her sister, who passed away a few years ago.

A photo of y'all goes viral - and the plot to be Revenge Exes happens - he wants his ex back &  you need more sales  to keep your tea shop from closing. So y'all plan all these outings.

Then, y'all start to date for real.

But the ex comes back - and you think he is going to leave and choose her.

All those years ago when he left you thought it was because he didn't like you back, but he was lying to your sister and you overhead it.

He goes back to the city to get his life together --
You decide to close the tea shop and start living your life according to your terms, not your sister's.

Y'all spend the necessary time apart to figure out what you want and then you get together.

yay.
