It can be hard to find a good "horror" story that let's you suspend reality. I loved the Setting, the development, and pace. The story does follow two timeliness, which can get a bit repetitive but I think the author handled this very well. I will definitely read the author again!

This book reminded me of the creepy stories I would read as a kid in that I wasn’t scared of the ghosts and it didn’t feel like a horror film where everything is tense. And that’s my sweet spot- creepy and spooky without feeling tense and scared.

This is a well made and served slice of horror, with enough twists to keep the pace going up! I liked the feminist take on crime and its reporting/portrayal too. It added a lot to the connection to the characters for me.

Will definitely be on the lookout for more from this author.
