Insane book. Really creepy, twists and turns. A similiar vibe to Lars Keplers books about Jonna Linna if you're into those. Need book #2 asap.

I have mixed feelings about this. The story is very thrilling, I finished it in 3 sittings in 24 hours. The first half was very good, captivating and page-turning. However, I find the second half full of lacklustre findings and conclusions. Furthermore, I was not convinced that the serial killer’s motive was strong and important enough. It could be yes, but it was not strong enough. I also hated the ending that forces you to read the second book. I will read it and see how I feel about Arne Dahl.

Sam Berger is a cop who likes watches. He's convinced that a fifteen year old girl who's gone missing has been abducted by a serial killer and that she is at least his third victim but none of his colleagues agree with him. Then a mysterious woman who has appeared at the crime scenes is discovered and Sam's team starts to think he really is on to something. Is this mysterious woman for real though and why does Sam think there is a connection between them. A story of bullying at school, childhood betrayal, secret organisations and revenge. I found the story a bit slow to begin with but it then speeded up and I just had to find out what happened. Hope this is the start of a series as I would like to read more about the two main characters.
