Such an amazing and wonderful way this story goes. Reading about the next part of the story was just everything I had hoped for it felt like.

Will think about it later but I just find this world so impactful and thoughtful.

Stakes were interesting. Took me too long to understand who was who and had to look up a quick explanation because I thought everyone was Lydia at different point in her life for a bit.

I liked Handmaid’s Tale much better, but the follow up was still great.

This was amazing!! Hard to imagine a future like this but all it takes is someone exploiting power and others shying away from their necessary actions against that group. Silence can be our worst enemy. I wish I had noted the relevance of the image at the beginning of the different sections earlier. That really helped with keeping the characters straight!!

I was hesitant to read this because The Handmaids Tale was just so good that I didn’t want to be disappointed, but these books are very different from one another. It is not a duloagy, but rather two (almost) stand-alone books. The Testaments was written more plainly and wasn’t necessarily the style of book I usually read. I wasn’t super into this book, so I frequently got tripped up with the dual-perspectives but I did enjoy the inside and outside perspectives from each of the characters. It was pretty cliche, but it was still entertaining. I do think the ending was kind of rushed though.
