I liked it, it’s a coming of age story about realizing where true happiness comes from. As well as the temptation of power and evil all told through a girl who’s given a magic box that gives her a perfect life with the consequence of responsibility and that with the wrong ownership the box does atrocious things. It was short and pretty laid back for most of the book. It was still fairly captivating, and the climax takes you by surprise and throws you out of the relaxed state the rest of the book puts you in. I’ll probably check out Chizmar and read some of his other stuff. Solid solid read. I’ll definitely finish the series.
