As somple as that.
I love the chemistry between the grumpy sociopath serial killer Jack and the skinned alive serial killer Kyrie.
How their paths cross. How the desire and the smell of death floats around all along the story.
The danish love declarations from Jack literally killed me.

This is a fast-paced Serial K!ller romance. Jack and Kyrie's love story is beautiful and held me captivated the whole time. I don't even know how to write this review because I don't want to give even the smallest details away. It's just so good consuming each new piece of information as it's written.
Jack and Kyrie work together at a research university as experts in their respective fields. Their rivalry and banter are wonderful and watching it develop from that into what it becomes is magical...you know in a serial k!ller sort of way 🤭
“There are wolves out there, Mr. Candyman. And they can’t wait to gobble you up.”
...
“You know, everyone fears the wolf. But do you know what the wolf fears in the kingdom of the wild?”
...
“The lynx.”
...
“Jack is the wolf who hunts you. But guess what I am?”

The trigger warnings and dark content were no joke but I didn’t feel like it was gore and graphic for shock and awe which I appreciate.
The chemistry between Jack and Kyrie was off the charts and both their put on personas and their authentic selves were so engaging that reading it felt like a sprint. The epilogue was the perfect ending to their story.
Graphic: Sexism, Murder, Gun violence, Animal death, and Gore
