Now listen, I’ve been in the game for a while, so it takes a lot for me to get the giggles. But this one? 🤭🤭🤭

I love dark, serial killer romances and this book DELIVERED. This book was exactly what I was looking for. It definitely gave me the same vibes as the Sinners Duet by Sophie Lark. Think: lots of blood and gore, people being turned on by murder, stalking, and tons of sex. 🥵 If you’re into that, then definitely check this one out! Our hero, Jack is a forensic anthropologist and our heroine, Kylie is a biologist. They are both professors at a college but that’s not the only thing they have in common… This book was wild and a little predictable, but very entertaining. Highly recommend!

THE FMC AND MMC ARE BOTH SERIAL KILLERS??? SIGN ME UP!
this book gave me all the feels, tragic back story, “who did this to you?”, “touch her and you’ll *literally* die”….it gave a bit of rivals-to-lovers because they were competing on both:
1. their place of work
2. that there could only be one serial killer in their area.

I love knowing that only those two characters could find love within each other…like there’s literally no one else who could understand them and accept all them except for each other.

NOT FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED. HEED THE TRIGGER WARNINGS FROM THE AUTHORS.

I honest-to-God do not know how to rate this one. This book is on a whole new caliber for my reading genre.

"The unholy way in which I’m about to take her would make angels repent."

I feel like that should've been TW enough.

It's chilling. It does not aim to make you understand cold-blooded killers but it does give you lens to their activities. It's goosebumps-inducing. I was actually very afraid that the authors would try to make me sympathize with killers but no. This story truly is about villains, REAL COLD-BLOODED VILLAINS. Psychopats, if you will. Also, the way they think and their activities are disgusting, terrifying, and totally abhorrent.

Two serial killers, too many secrets, what could go wrong? Bloody everything in the best possible way.

I don't even know where to start with this.

Kyrie is amazing as the lead female character. She has such depth and feeling to her that I honestly forgot she wasn't real. The things this woman has been through are unimaginable, but that doesn't stop her from being a total badass! I pity any man that gets on her hit list.

Jack is terrifying, enigmatic, and down right hot. The man should be illegal (I mean, he is a serial killer), but goddamn! He is cold throughout most of the book, but the soft spot he develops for Kyrie is knee buckling. (Don't we all want a partner that would burn down the world for us?)

The plot was immaculate. Every time I got to the end of a chapter and thought I could go to sleep, the book told me I was wrong and I had to read more. I found this so hard to put down (sorry, not sorry to anyone who read over my shoulder on the subway!).

The surprises kept on coming, and there were so many twists and turns that I felt like I needed a seat belt.

This is definitely a dark book and will not be to everyone's tastes, but if you're in the mood for something riveting, engaging, and spicy, this book will deliver all that and more!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
