I spent the first 30% of this book highly confused and then spent the next 70% as someone who questioned the main characters and their questionnaire kinks, and thinking that they were actually kinda sweet together (I’m their own murderous ways).
But the writing of this book? Absolutely brilliant.

GOD this book was so good.

Let it be said I am NOT regularly a dark romance reader but this just hooked me. The premise of two serial killers going enemies-to-lovers was just SO good I couldn't help myself from picking it up. I am so glad I did, let me tell you. If I hadn't started this so late at night I definitely would've read it all in one sitting. Any hesitation I had about it being dark romance was blown away within the very first chapter.

The tension in this book is so enticing; the cat and mouse was so good it almost surprised me when they did, in fact, kiss. I just thought the chase would go on forever and I'd be perfectly fine with that.

As much as I hate using the term, Jack Sorensen is the DEFINITION of a book boyfriend. Book husband, actually, since he's in his 30s. The way he talked to her once he started figuring out his feelings and the dutch pet names? Lille mejer?? I lost my MIND when I looked up what it meant.

This book did a fantastic job of toeing the edge of too-much but also being settled comfortably in that area. It gave me everything I wanted perfectly.
