You don't understand. I am obsessed and possibly never recovering. WHY WAS THAT THE MOST ADORABLE MLM hockey romance ever? BUTTERFLIES. Blushing. Giggling. SQUEALING. Crying. I loved every minute of it and it was way too short. This lives in my brain forever now. WHAT. All time FAVORITE. Foster and Zach.... their chemistry. IT IS UNMATCHED. Them being polar opposite people but so in tune with each other?? The brother's best friend trope could not have been done better too? Their love, their attraction, their love and NEED to just be together and spend every minute together was so ADORABLE I WAS GONE. I died consecutively 100 times whilst reading about them. I have rarely ever felt so SOFT and EXCITED for every interaction between 2 characters. The things they say to each other.......... YEAH. One page in and I was uncontrollably giggling. I needed help. I have officially found my male counterpart twin and most POSITIVELY ADORABLE ANGEL... Zach. How can a person be so adorable and so interesting? He just made me so happy. His love for learning, for social psychology, for UNDERSTANDING people... No one compares. FOSTER. Down bad for this man because he is the epitome of kind, understanding, FUNNY, and JUST a charismatic soul and TALENTED hockey player. Him. Them. SEEING DAMON....... I LOST IT. I could not explain my happiness seeing Damon and the mention of Ollie. I missed them so much. Trust Eden Finley with writing the best hockey romances and most loved characters. Never disappoints. I needed a really good book this month with characters to be comforted by and this was it.

I enjoyed this less this time — not sure if it’s the narration or if I’ve just read better books in the same genre now. Zach, who’s very autistic coded, seemed more infantilized this time, which I didn’t like. The narration added to it but I think it was also embedded into the text. One of the narrators (foster) annoyed me in general. One of my least favorites in the series.

Reread June 2021
Listened to the audiobook and it was great, I still stick by everything I said originally I don’t think I am changing my rating.

3.5-4 stars

I loved Zach he was such a sweetheart and same with Foster. Ugh they were so cute together. I would have enjoyed more scenes with Ray, she seemed like a sassy character I could get on board with! haha

I would have also loved some more back story with Zach and Foster, like their home lives. I feel like it was brushed over and one scene doesn't cut it for me. I just felt like as main characters they had some very surface level characteristics which made me lower the star rating.

I also loved the cameo from one of guys from [b:Fake Out|39298105|Fake Out (Fake Boyfriend, #1)|Eden Finley|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1521219468l/39298105._SY75_.jpg|59985533]. That was good to see, wish we got more of that!

Overall a great start to a series and very low angst which I love.
