This started out strong and then quickly fizzled.

Louisa's need to "fix" her man was a definite turnoff but so was the fact that both sides of the pairing had big family secrets that needed to be uncovered. I was annoyed by the end and found myself irritated more than a fan of the story/couple.

Two broken souls trying to survive London's society. Off to the next book now.

Perfectly fine, but nothing special. I like her writing and her characters, but I feel her books would be stronger if a little longer and more detailed. Much of the action is skipped or summarized.

You can just tell when an author struggles with Regency era speak.

Maybe don’t write a historical romance?

Also, Sebastian was called the ‘Beastly Duke’ but not once did I see him being a beastly duke. SHOW NOT TELL!!!! Don’t fucking TELL me he’s a beastly duke—SHOW me!!!

This author needs to go back to writing classes, seriously.
