This contains an excellent horror story entitled 'Today is Not' by... erm... me.

Self-promotion aside, this is a fantastic magazine, as were the subsequent issues. The mix of prose and comic-book formats, of horror, science fiction and fantasy, is refreshing and interesting.

My own story was far from the best in this debut issue. I'm proud to have been published alongside such amazing talents as Jon Courtenay Grimwood, Lavie Tidhar and Richard Calder.

The art is great. I was particularly delighted with Jag Lall's dark, visceral illustrations for my story.

Jag is the writer and illustrator or the critically acclaimed '1400', a powerful and moving graphic novel which "courageously delves into the topic of rape and child exploitation, through the voice of a young Sikh girl named Sharanjeet." (Huffington Post).

I'd recommend any issue of Murky Depths. A real achievement.
