I started to learn English when I was very young and I am still amused by the sheer weirdness of the language. This book was educational and has fun word-play but there wasn't anything that made it extraordinary so 3.5 stars it is.

Obviously I liked this book, and I feel like many have already mentioned a lot of the reasons. I would just like to comment on the print quality. The book feels really nice to hold, the binding is sturdy, and I feel like it will definitely stand up well to a lot of use over the years.
The books is very short, however I found myself re-reading it quite a few times just to absorb the interplay between the pictures and the wordplay. Someone mentioned that the collective names for animals used in this book are actually authentic. And I googled it a bit, and it seems like that is the case. I did not know that while reading this book (I thought they just made them up) and now I am surprised. I guess that the author and illustrator selected the most apropos and humorous ones.
The art is really funny, but it definitely has a certain style to it that appeals to me and seems cute, however several people left reviews saying they "didn't get it". I would definitely recommend flipping through the book first to make sure the art is something you will enjoy. There are some high res previews on the publisher's website if your local bookstore doesn't have a copy for you to browse: https://houseofanansi.com/products/a-storytelling-of-ravens
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for this review.

I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
Cleverly written and illustrated, kids will have a lot of fun learning different words and phrases with this book. While some made me pause and think, I think they'd be pretty easy to grasp by kids. I personally loved the sloth of bears and the parliament of owls.
4.5/5 rounds to 5/5.
