A Breath Of Snow And Ashes by Diana Gabaldon

Kidnapping, being accused of witchcraft, poisoning, rape . . . how much do Claire & Brianna have to endure? Seriously, it reached the point of ridiculousness and kept sailing right on past that in book 6. I enjoyed the mundane daily life parts of this one, but the "big violent event" portions made me want to stop reading. Does every bad thing in the world have to happen to a member of the Fraser clan?

The hardest part about this book is that it ends, and you have to wait for the next one!

It’s so long and I just could not get into it enough to justify listening to it for 57 hours…

These are just getting soooo long. I enjoyed it, but I’m wondering if some of the scenes could have been done without?

This book was so dang long. I think that some of this book could have been left out, but it was good.

This book took a lot longer to finish than I thought it was going to, but given that it’s the longest Outlander book I probably should have expected it. In spit of it’s length, I thoroughly enjoyed another round of episodic, comedic, sometimes heartbreaking, but always excellent stories about the lives of the Fraser family leading up to the American Revolution. While I generally felt like this one dragged a bit more in the middle than the previous book, it made up for this with a series of plot twists and intense dramas that had me glued to the edge of my seat. Can’t wait for more

This is a vast improvement on The Fiery Cross. Even though there were several slow passages that I ended up skimming over and a fair bit of repetition, I did find I had to force myself to put the book down at times. There are some pretty awful things which happen in this book but at least overall it felt like the book was actually going somewhere compared to the previous one. I'm planning on carrying on with the rest of the series this summer, this book has motivated me to carry on reading them whereas The Fiery Cross made me want to give up on them entirely.

This is my 2nd favorite outlander book. 2nd only to the first one.

This book has SO MUCH IN IT. It’s constant action. After dragging myself thru the fiery cross, this was like a breath of fresh air.
