This was such a fun cozy mystery and was perfect for the fall season. I didn't realize when I first started this that it's the third book in the series but I had no issues reading it and can say that it can be read as a standalone. I was all here for a fall vibes and absolutely loved the setting. The murder was a wild ride and definitely didn't guess who the killer was but it was a fun time leading up to that point. I definitely had a good time while reading and recommend my cozy mystery lovers to pick this one up.

I'm so glad the latest in this series came out so soon after I finished books 1&2. This is set between Halloween and Thanksgiving and it has me in the mood for all things fall, especially cider.
The pumpkin patch owner is found dead in the back of Winnie's truck and a "tall dark and yummy" man shows up....oh that is a fun twist to have 3 Wise men in one story. A little romance and a lot of crime solving in this latest edition and I loved it all.

Over all 5 stars for the series. I loved the small town, the mysteries, Colton and Winnie’s friendship.
I loved this series and wished there was a fourth book! Curious minds like Winnie’s need to know what Harper’s secret is, did truffle pig Kenny Rogers make it, and will Colton and Winnie become a couple!!! I loved that there was an additional aspect besides the murder in this book and Winnie had to navigate through with Colton at her side. PLEASE, we need book 4!

THE CIDER SHOP RULES is the delicious third book in the Cider Shop Mystery series by Julie Anne Lindsey. While I somehow missed out on book two (and I’ll be rectifying that soon!), this new release was easily read as a standalone and I didn’t feel like I was lost. Ms. Lindsey does an admirable job of creating a cast of memorable characters – people you’d love to spend time with and get to know! Protagonist, Winnie, is hard working, truly cares about her family, friends, and community, and is plagued with curiosity much to the chagrin of the local sheriff and her potential love interest. With an enticing autumn setting featuring fall festivals, pumpkin patches, a corn maze, hay rides, and a Civil War reenactment, the fun is non-stop... that is until someone murders the popular local farmer. The well-plotted mystery (actually a double mystery) added to the page-turning action and kept me on my toes as I followed the clues alongside Winnie. The heart stopping reveal had me on the edge of my seat and I was gratified to see that the threads of the plots and subplots were woven together into a cohesive conclusion. With a hint of what might be happening next, I can’t wait to read the next book in this delectable series!
I was provided with an advance copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book, book 3, is definitely my favorite out of the series so far. The ending seems like there will be a 4th book and I sure hope so!
This is a 3.75, but 4 star rounded up. These can be read as standalones, but I wish I had read the first two! I really wanted to understand the depth of tension between characters. I wanted to connect more with the characters. Sometimes with cozy mysteries you can get that connection whether it’s the first book or 30th. This one I was just starting to towards the end. However, this is so atmospheric. The cider shop sounds divine. I was eating a caramel apple while enjoying this book, because it made me crave apples! Now I hope to have some cider soon. I will definitely read the first two, and hopefully that will change my thoughts on characters, even thought I thoroughly enjoyed this.
