I saw this book on the recommended shelf in my favorite bookstore. But I picked it up because Mom said the cat looked like Taylor Swift (what?)

I finished this book in one day, meaning that I really enjoyed it. I would also like to put in that this is EXACTLY the kind of non-fiction book I've been looking for.

It's not too dark, a bit sad, and a sprinkle of happiness. In short, it's life. As in, something I can relate to. Not that I mean I've experienced what the author had, but it's a lot less depressing compared to the non-fiction books about women of polygamous marriage.

I'm pretty sure you know the video mentioned in the book titled Bobcat and I. Well, here it is.

Super cute story, I am so happy for James and Bob! Read a bit like a children’s book at times (asides from the dark content). I am a dog person through and through so the way dogs were treated in this made me a bit sad - no bad dogs just bad owners. An enjoyable read, and I learnt a lot about the Big Issue  which I didn’t know about before, and will definitely try and purchase a magazine in future, I really like their philosophy. Happy that charities like the Blue Cross and the RSPCA exist, they are real heroes in this book too 🥰

This book was certainly different read to what I normally like reading but I heard this book being talked about on the radio, they were talking about the film and I thought at the time how I wouldn't mind reading that.

Being a cat lover is what obviously drew me into the story, and what a heartwarming tale it was. James meet Bob at a very rough time in his life, being a drug addict and in sheltered accommodation Bob truly helped James turn his life around. Bob drew in the crowds when James was busking, and when James started selling the big issue. Bob is truly James's best friend, companion and soul mate. Lovely easy reading.

I bought the paperback as it was cheaper than the kindle price.
