My first Deadly Class review under five stars. Indefinitely didn’t hate it. It was just more chaotic and hard to follow. A few of them went out of character from what I could see. It had a few moments that really jump out at me, especially in issue 44.

Uncertainly enjoyed this volume more than the first time I read it & had forgotten everything that had happened in the volume prior. I’m still excited to continue on with the last 12 issues & see how everything plays out!

And as always, Wes Craig, man. Drawing this well should be illegal!

Deadly Class ramps up as it closes out it's second year.

So if you thought all hell was going to break loose...well you're right. Actually, the start of this volume had me a bit worried. The last volume, while good, didn't blow me away. This volume consist a lot of Marcus kind of being a depressed asshole and I know I'm used to it by now but it's slightly annoying at this point. BUT THEN...those final two issues kick in and shit goes bonkers.

Some of the greatest fight scenes in the series take place here. Some good funny moments, some emotional bits, and some MAJOR freaking deaths. Characters I didn't expect to bite the bullet did while others are somehow STILL alive. The ending especially leaves it up the viewer to wait for more and it is said to be awhile before we get another issue.

While not the best volume it ended pretty damn great. A 4 out of 5.

Oh this series. The characters are fantastic, and the craziness of the story just keeps getting ramped up in each arc.

Between Helmut's revenge plot and Marcus's overly philosophical inner dialogue, I feel like the series is becoming pretty predictable; the female characters (specifically Maria) feel like they're losing all multidimensional qualities, and the action sequences are pretty much the only thing that has me still invested in this series. I'm curious to see where Saya and Shabnam's plotlines go, but otherwise, I feel like Marcus's edge-lord schtick has become boring and overdone by this point; I'll stick out the rest of the series since there aren't too many volumes left but I don't have high hopes for the conclusion.
