This thing takes a pretty weird turn into normalcy and then goes right back into weird what-is-happening violent mania. I truly don't understand the rules of this school or its social hierarchy and landscape. I've also never rooted for someone's sobriety less than Marcus's, though it's a pretty wild delight to constantly be weaving between his side and everyone else's. Sometimes, his spirals make him the sharpest. Sometimes, they make him the most insufferable. I get it, man. Drinking wasn't helping, but, my goodness, poison your body before the fresh mountain air corrodes your insides, boyo.
2,5/ One thing about Remender: he has a personal vendetta against me specifically. Cause Deadly Class is wiiiidely inconsistent. After the poetic experience that was volume 8, I couldn't just wait to devour vol 9, and be awed and boooy I couldn't be more wrong. It's just bad okay? And don't blame me. It's Marcus starting drama out of nowhere and the story becoming graphic and shock-value oriented (at least in a more obvious manner) without any actual plot progression. Okay a few key characters dropped dead. So fucking what, it happens all the time. I'm still holding hope for volume 10 though. Better luck next time, I guess
