“I wasn't weak. I'd never been a quitter before. I was born to be the ultimate warrior. So if anyone could walk out of this situation unscathed, it should be me.”

This book switches back to Alex’s POV and it illuminates her internal struggle after becoming the Apollyon and connecting with Seth. Her connection with Seth cringed me out so much, especially when she refers to him as ‘my Seth’. But even when all hope seems to be lost, Aiden fully believes his love and trust will bring her back to him. They still have to find ways to break the connection with Seth. Their quest brings them to the Underworld, a very interesting place. The gods being on edge definitely doesn’t make all of this easier. Apollo also seems to be holding back some very important information.

What mainly stood out was that Alex seems to be more mature and her relationship with her uncle changed. They seem to finally understand each other and start showing that as well. He even calls her Alex! Very wholesome.

An emotional rollercoaster is how I would describe this book. I also liked learning more about Greek mythology. The Supernatural references were also a nice addition! I think it’s one of the better books in this series. And the ending, damn! The god plotting against them has no mercy. No wonder why Seth is like this.
