This was a hard read. I was very intrigued by the fact that is from Malaysian voices. From the mouth of a Malaysian "spy" who thought she was doing something for a better future. A normal, person - not a trained military tool. So much pain, hurt, bad judgement. The setting is a character in this one. Everything about this novel was - novel, to me.
