Hot & Heavy is an insta-lust situation on crack. She isn't that kind of girl. Sage is far from the freak flag flying, hornball she appeared to be. it's him! He does this to her in a way that terrifies her. He doesn't know anything about her but...he wants to know it all! It definitely isn't his usual response but ....her. She makes Shawn want things he has never wanted before.

Hot & Heavy has chemistry, enough concerns to add drama, and a sexual content that will either make you jealous or needy.

Enjoy!

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Since I loved and devoured the first book, Down & Dirty, I just had to ask for Hot & Heavy once I saw it on NetGalley. In it, you will meet Sage and Shawn. Now of course I had my ups and downs with these characters, or even with what they were dealing with throughout the book, but in the end I fell in love with these two. Their chemistry was amazing and the smutty scenes that I got sort of rocked my world.

Sage and Shawn have one thing in common: baggage. Boy, do they. Sage has to deal with her mom, who is crazy, wacky, and loves to spend money on ways to find herself. It just sucks for Sage because they both run the same company, sort of. They work together in their family's yoga studio. Let's just say.. she causes Sage a lot of unnecessary stress in her life.

Then there's Shawn, who is off his game when it comes to Sage. When he's not dealing with that little fact, he's a thrill seeker. Whether it's snowboarding, parachuting, cliff diving - you name it, he will do it.

When these two come together and realize how broken they were before they found each other - it was just amazing. I loved their love story and ate it all up. I seriously hope there's a chance to get the third book on NetGalley because I can't wait to read it!

This was okay for me. The writing itself flowed well, but I was a little frustrated at the lack of actual romance between the main characters. I love a good sex scene as much as the next girl, but there wasn't a whole lot besides that with Shawn and Sage's relationship. Then they're all of a sudden in love. A little far fetched for me. It was very annoying that Shawn couldn't see what he did affected other people besides him. Don't get me started on Sage's mom. She was something I can tell you that. I'm not a fan of anyone who is a parent, and doesn't really care how their child feels. This was a first for me from this author, but I would give her another read.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

I loved this story, The Hero had a sad past and his way of coping was to do extreme things and ride the high of adrenaline, this went against his contract with the NFL. Also the heroine had her issues, mostly mommy issues, and together they shouldn't have worked at all but they had undeniable chemistry. This story was not overly dramatic and kept me interested the whole time and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is the second book in the series.
Sage is the most put together yoga instructor you will ever meet. She's not into free love, in fact she's as by the book as they come and an accountant. So when she sees Shawn from across the bar her next actions are completely outside the norm for her, but seriously hot indeed.
Shawn is a star football player with an adrenaline kick that has gotten into to trouble. Nursing a hurt shoulder he's looking for ways to deal with the pain. He never expected to run into his hottest one night stand. Now he wants to take Sage to the next level, but can they get past their issues to be more than just hot and heavy?

Hot & Heavy is a perfect title for this book, hot people with heavy baggage and steamy love making. Shawn and Sage both have their own demons that are holding them back from a lot of things in life. While this was a quick read for me, I really enjoyed the characters and the story. It's a perfect summer book to read while getting your tan on, just make sure you have a cool drink with you! Sage is a very strong independent female, with a past that has done more damage than she realizes. Shawn is football hero who's reckless lifestyle has more to do with his own baggage than he realizes until it's too late. When they meet the first time it's like lightening in a bottle and while one tries to run from it, the other will do anything possible to have it again.

Thanks Netgalley for an ARC copy to read and share my honest opinion.

Loved it! Shawn is a baller but his adrenaline junky behavior gets him in trouble. With training only a few weeks away he is suffering from an injury from cliff diving. He meets Sage who is bored to tears at a bachelorette party for a coworker and friend. The attraction seems mutual as the pair commit sexual behavior in the back of a bar. The chemistry between the two was nuclear as fate keeps throwing the pair together.
So why four stars? Chemistry was amazing between the two but the book seemed to go fast. I hadn't read the first in the series so I'm not sure that would give me better clarity on the secondary characters. I hated how Sage downed herself, I mean it's not every day you meet an interested handsome guy. The amount of sexy stuff they did in the hallway had me cringing, lol. Still it was a fun read, and as always I love the themes this author comes up with.
The blurb was what really caught my eye. The story stays close to the blurb which I really like. The cover for the book was ok, it didn't really catch my eye. This was a quick read and entertainment is four stars. Thanks for allowing me a copy I enjoyed it.

Hot & Heavy is entertaining and witty with some chuckle-worthy moments. The story is interesting and definitely steamy. Shawn and Sage each have their own issues - he's an adrenaline junkie and she's determined to have stability and doesn't like taking risks. It's obvious where the angst in our romance is going to come from. Both characters are likable and it's easy to root for them, except I never really felt the love between them. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts, and their first encounter is nothing short of scorching hot, but it takes more than falling all over each other to fall in love and I just never got that with this pair. In the end, the story is a fun read and the angst level isn't crazy high, but I felt like it was missing that emotional connection.

This is my first Wolff book, but it won't be my last. I love a female lead who has unashamed, joyfully ferocious sex without any backing off/demurring/simpering--and this book has her. In the end, the male lead grows up--both a relief and a delight! Off to the next book in the series.
