A truly important story that I am glad I got to learn about. I would not have known a lot of this story about boarding schools and how so many indigenous communities have so many barriers to even a high school education, not to mention all the suspicious deaths that occurred in Thunder Bay in the early 2000s.

Quick review: I cannot recommend this book enough. There's so much history we need to learn about how white settlers not only stole land but forced (& often kidnapped) Indigenous families to send their kids to residential schools where they then erased their Indigenous culture. This book touches on so much of history and in depth looks at 7 specific children who went missing from the same location.
