This was better than I was expected, even though I really enjoyed the first. I just thought this one couldn't live up to the quality of the first. And it didn't, but it didn't fall far short. I don't really like the character of Henry or the motivations of most of the characters, even though that's partially the point of the books. This book didn't feel as fresh and original as the first and had more cliches that felt outdated and some even offensive. But I do still enjoy the thought processes from Lily and it was interesting to watch the twists/mystery unfold.

The elegant sequel to the Kind Worth Killing, and it didn't disappoint. Henry Kimball is now a PI, hired by Joan an ex pupil from his teaching days, to investigate her husbands affair, Henry senses that it's not what it seems. Told from various points of view, and I enjoyed it when Lily turns up. Several twists and turns to the book, which whilst I expected twist, some of them crept up on me. A very satisfying, smart, twisty, "fun" read.

If you enjoyed The Kind Worth Killing you will love this book! If you’ve never read The Kind Worth Killing stop whatever you’re doing and read that book and then this one! This book is broken down into 3 separate parts with every part keeping you on the edge of your seat needing to know what twist lies ahead. It is also told from many points of view, which I personally love, it allows you the ability to get inside everyone’s head but despite that you will be still be left saying OMG WHAT??!
