I was traumatized by the first and second book. If there was ever a third book, I would still read it

Right so three things:
1) Swear Down Silvera wrote this as a test to see if you have a soul
2) Yes I have a soul, and it is emotionally broken and traumatised
3) This book should come with a warning: WILL BREAK YOUR SOUL INTO TINY PIECES
OH AND ANOTHER THING (oh that makes four) the Rufus and Mateo cameos, whilst completely appreciated, WERE NOT APPRECIATED! But like it really tied the book together.
Read this book. Much like they both die at the end, it emotionally destroys you, and it is well worth a read :)
EDIT july 2023:
I'm not really sure what made me reread this, since im not one to dwell on the past, but hey.
i still love this book, and it was like reading it for the first time.
however, i am now crying in my room at 20 past twelve at night ...
worth a read, and apparently a reread :)

Maybe I am biased when it comes to rating books by Adam Silvera but I just can’t not give it 5 stars after he found a way to step on my heart and break it all over again after TBDATE. I loved the book, I loved little Mateo and Rufus, I loved Orion and Valentino. I did get my hopes up (again) over them both managing to stay alive after all of this but Death-Cast is always right.
I hate how they made me feel, not even a full day and they made it seem like months of knowing each-other just for Valentino to get that ending. It was beautiful and I had an amazing time laughing at how cute they were together but I just always wish we could avoid the tragic deaths.
It’s really enjoyable and cute and it has lovely characters. I never have anything bad to say about any Adam Silvera book. I will be rereading it multiple times like I did with TBDATE since I got it even if I have to close the book before it stops being happy. But these endings are what make you feel things the most, and Valentino’s video will always manage to make me sob like I’m the one who’s boyfriend got pushed down the stairs and died instead of Orion’s.
I can’t wait for the next Death-Cast book.
