I'm torn between 2 and 3 stars. I think the writing is very good but UGH, THE STORY WAS JUST TOO LONG.

I didn’t remember that I had read this book 10 years ago as a child, so having the memories come rushing back as i read was quite a case of Deja vu. I only remember after I read it it was a good time

Ho amato questo libro. Racconta in modo secondo me emozionante e appassionato quella che è inizialmente la storia di due fratelli, il quale maggiore dei due si è trovato a dover compiere scelte difficili pur di evitare che li separassero. I due riescono a trovare un'altra famiglia a cui appartenere, sebbene improvvisata.

Cornelia Funke ha scritto un'altra volta una storia amorevole, affettuosa, della ricerca di un proprio percorso di vita nuovo, di amicizia e supporto reciproco, rara nel suo raccontare tipi d'amore diversi da quello romantico. Una bella #FoundFamily 💖

Avrei letto molto volentieri un sequel, peccato sia uno standalone.
