this was okay. It’s been so long since I read the first book so I was a little confused by some of the names and some of the stuff they reference from the first book because I completely forgot everything. it was entertaining, though

Hmph. farrrr better than the first book. They thankfully have come to their senses and are no longer trying to steal each other's boyfriends and kill each other. Well with a few exceptions. Anyway im glad i read this.

Both this book and the first one were such fun reads that you didn’t have to think much about. It dives deep into the world of ballet and is easy to understand even if you aren’t a dancer. The setting I found to be very interesting and cool to imagine. While the series is a little cliche it is overall an easy and fun read

"Better, faster, stronger, payback"

Ok so here's the thing, it's not a good book, it's actually really mediocre compared to the other book of this duology but it has the drama I need and I crave sometimes, just for that I'll give it 4 stars. I must admit I literally skipped all of Bette's pov because she is boring and idk, I just wanted to skip it.

June in the other hand...

Oh June I love you dear, I would understand why people don't like her but she is probably my favorite character with Alec, they are both so nice. Idk, the book was mediocre but June is worthy, read it if you want too.

Definitely not as good as the first one but I still enjoyed it and I was pretty bummed to find out there isn’t a third book. It felt like a lot of the characters changed for the worse…literally almost no one was likable by the end. and I also thought the ending wrapped up a little too quickly for my liking. I would have loved to continue and see how they all do in their respective companies...but alas...

So yeah I had my issues with it but I still loved the concept of ~drama at the ballet school~ and I really appreciate how much work the authors put into both books to make it realistic to the ballet world. After I finished I went and watched ballet videos for a few hours, which I guess isn’t actually that different from a normal day, but still.

Also I should have written this in my last review as well but MAJOR tw for eating disorders/purging for both these books. Lots of other stuff too inc
Spoilerattempted suicide
but the ED stuff felt particularly descriptive to me as a person with a history of that so def something to be aware of.

Anyway please recommend me your favorite ballet books. Adults deserve ballet fiction too smh
