Basically erotica with juvenile writing.

It was a short, fun read. A lot of fluff, not much substance.

I would like to thank Lyonne Riley for an early copy in exchange of an honest review.

This was a lot more centered in the conflict of war between Trollkin and humans, however, it still led way for the tenderness that was Norgren and Tally's eventual love. Their romance budded a bit slower than his buddy did yet I found I enjoyed their love story more. Norgren was quick to realize his faults and apologize when he overstepped. Tally was very similar in that regard. It just felt so natural as you go through the story of why these two truly fall for each other. I honestly could read a full novel of them
and their future babies
. Overall, Lyonne Riley has done it again.

Oh, poor Norgren. Unlike the VAST MAJORITY of monster men, not only is Norgren ready for romance, he actually does the work to get it. He's not about just nicking someone, no he builds them a nice house, an appropriately sized chair, even sets things up for some farming. The only thing he doesn't realise is that a nice house, yummy food and a good body isn't enough to entice a human woman to immediately drop everything and live with him.

I loved that Tally and Norgren had time to actually get to know each other and fall in love. There was no coercion, just two lonely people getting to be together. This was a short story that packed a lot of plot and I'm excited now to read the full novels.
