Si je pensais que j’allais être moins conquise par ce livre, parce que honnêtement, je ne suis pas une grande fane de Noël, mais j’ai passé un très bon moment - surtout pour le personnage de la Mort, toujours mon préféré, surtout tout son passage sur le manque de justice, toujours du très haut niveau.

I actually had a hard time getting into this one. I mean, Death acting human is all sorts of fun, but sometimes the cultural ones are hard for me to get into.
That is until it gets weird - THEN it is all sorts of fun!
Like Teatime? Yes, he was such a fun horrid guy. Strangely fascinating, you just couldn’t really look away. I guess it’s like all those girls who fall for the Phantom, ignoring the fact that he’s a creepy pyco killer and Christine CHOSE THE SANE GUY FOR A REASON!
This has also continued the great over arching theme of belief. This isn’t a new topic, it’s in a lot of the other books, but not quite as strongly here. And the line the little girl says, that the poker only kills monsters, gave me chills. Like you get when you hear a truth that resounds throughout time and space and makes you KNOW that there actually is an absolute truth out there.
But it wasn’t all sunshine and flowers - WHERE WAS SUSAN’S GUY?!!!? I LIKED Iymp (sp?) from Soul Music!!!!!! Sheesh.

Loved all the parts with Death, could do without the other stuff like the Wizards and Oh God of Hangovers. Still a really fun book.
