I'm driven right up the middle on what I liked and didn't like. Amnesia isn't my favorite trope, but the book had a decent take on it in the first half.

I hate the convenient memory reveal, it will never not be corny sorry

. It was surprisingly funny and Grandma Beverley is genuinely one of the best side characters in a thriller I've read.

The commentary about women, domestic violence, feminine rage, etc. was generally strong. I liked the discussions on perfect victimhood and nice guys. It just wasn't the most interesting mystery and it got terribly repetitive with Lucy's visions and thoughts. I HATED the sex scenes...brotha eeeeuuuuugghhhh. That alone dropped it below 3 stars.

I enjoyed listening to this as an audiobook because I really got the feel for the podcast part of it. However, I think I am going to go back and read the book too because sometimes I got distracted during the audiobook and I didn't catch everything.
