Great book! I loved the audio version where there were different characters and it was like a podcast. Lots of twists and turns that kept me on my toes until the end.

This was such a fun time! If you like podcast books, this is the one for you! There are back and forth chapters with the podcast and our main character trying to figure out what happened 5 years ago.

A LOT of moving parts- quite a few characters, many of which are having multiple affairs that intertwine with each other (almost to the point of it not being believable on top of being difficult to follow at times). Overall a decent story line but not one I’ll remember long term.

Lucy’s attitude is top class realism. Love it! We follow Lucy as she travels back home to Texas for her grandmother’s birthday party, where everyone is convinced she murdered her best friend. To top off the cake, Ben, a good-looking podcaster, digs everything up reporting in “real” time, looking for the truth.
Although this story was incredibly predictable, and the ending left me a little unsatisfied, it was a fun ride! The characters were a little crass, so if you’re not one for hard humor, I don’t think you would enjoy this book. This was just an easy read, was interesting enough to keep you entertained through the whole book. I wouldn’t recommend this to "hard core" mystery/thrillers. However, it was fun, entertaining and if I don’t drink like Beverly when I am 80, I know I did something wrong in life!

I ate this up! I’ve heard people call this a thriller & honestly, I wouldn’t call it that. It’s more of a suspense & mystery than anything. But it was amazing! It kept me wanting more & more. Kept me second guessing. Grandma will the absolute best character. I highly recommend it!
