As Mitch Albom's books go, this one was far from being my favorite. That isn't to say I hated it, but the pace was very slow and I didn't really get attached to the characters until at least halfway through the book. Once the story started to come together and the characters met each other I enjoyed it much more, but I felt it took too long to get there and for such a short book, it felt quite lengthy. It certainly wasn't the worst thing I've read recently, but if you've read Albom's other books and haven't picked this one up yet, try not to get your expectations too high.
Moderate: Suicide, Death, Grief, Medical content, Suicidal thoughts, Suicide attempt, Chronic illness, and Cancer

A simple and functional read, but deeply impactful. The message is clear - time spent worrying about time is not time spent living at all.
The intertwining stories are deeply moving and cohesive, but the most impressive thing about the book is the no-nonsense, direct way of story telling Albom employs. Even so, it never feels cheap, trite or boring. Every word has its utility.
A good read for those who wants something emotional but light, simple and fast.

Solid book. Definitely gives “It’s a Wonderful Life” vibes near the end, and overall is a reflective story.
