What a cute, quick read this was :) It had me smiling all the way through and I really enjoyed the simplicity and lack of drama and angst for a change.  I loved Mara and Liam's characters, can't wait to read the other STEMinist novellas now.

Okay so apparently I’ve discovered that smart women & forced proximity tropes are my niche, I’ll take 100 more of these please. Honestly a little sad this was a novella because I would’ve read 100+ more pages of this
*half star deducted for Ali Hazelwood’s inability to write a single novel without a male MC described as huge, massive, looming, towering giant of a man who can wrap an entire hand around the female MC’s waist. We get it, you like giant dudes lol

Cute & quirky - but I wanted more science and STEM based plot points. Love Hypothesis & Below Zero both had more science and career based conflict that gave the stories more depth.

Certainly romance heavy, interpersonal communication heavy, and that’s not a bad thing. I just wanted Mara to have more depth than the surface commentary about her job problems and everything.

the sex scene is hot and heavy and written well, but it does feel very sudden. It makes sense, but also, I wish we could’ve seen a bit more build up to that sexy time.

Unbelievable, immature characters. No plot whatsoever even for a novella. Mara was annoying and infatuated with Liam and how big and tall he was lmao. She fantasized of killing him and cutting his throat over the stupidest things one page and the next fantasized having him screw her. Everything was cringe. This author's works aren't for me lol.

This was a good easy read. Quite predictable, but as expected. I struggle with novellas and short stories and I feel bad about marking the book down for that, but that’s just my honest feeling towards the book. I liked that it starts at the present day and then flashes back, gradually building up to the moment they get together.
Also, is Liam ace? He says he doesn’t like sex, so I’m assuming so. I would have liked for this to be explored more, but I think it’s great that Ali Hazelwood includes asexuality in her stories (e.g. Love Hypothesis)
