Rilla of Ingleside

This book was good but heart wrenching at times and the ending was a little unsatisfactory in that it left you wanting more and for the first time in 8 books, there was no more. Interesting perspective on WW1.

if the Great War by Taylor swift was a song.
I love this book so much. Rilla is the most amazing character. she’s relatable, she’s a heroine, she’s a brick. Walter.

I think this may be my favorite of the Anne sequels, certainly my favorite of the ones about Anne's children's. It's definitely more sombre than some of the others in the series, but since it takes place in WWI that is to be expected. I really loved the characters and definitely cried in a few places. A fitting end to the Anne books, I think.

I laughed until I cried during the "war wedding."

Wow. I loved this book. It was a great end to the series, going through the duration of World War I from the "home front" in Canada. It made me cry.
