Loved every minute of this book. The 3 Dahlias really proves the power of unity, sisterhood and learning to love, accept and forgive oneself. All wrapped up in a bow of mystery, murder and fun.

If you love the cosy crime genre then add an extra star for this is the cosiest of cosy crime reads. The hunger for the genre shows no sign of slowing down. This one has a good set up, cleverly managing to bring together the classic 1930s era and the modern world with a fan convention at an old manor. As always with these, I enjoyed the read while thinking all the time that Agatha Christie has already done this and better and will never be beaten, but this gives it a fair shot. Perhaps a touch too long, sagging a bit in the middle with a lot of recapping and endless questioning, but overall an enjoyable effort.
i really liked this idea/set-up and i did think this was a fun, easy kind of read. it's very traditional country house mystery but it's OBVIOUSLYYY playing off that. i really enjoyed the chapters starting with a snippet from the Dahlia Lively mystery series.
i think this could prob be fun as a series and i MIGHT read more. but also i ended up finding this kind of dull at the end because i had it already all worked out and also because i think there was too much repetition throughout. it could've been a bit tighter. i'm gonna not hold the working it all out thing against it because it's an old timey style mystery. and i'm real dead on.

Really fun (but cosy) murder mystery that kept me on my toes with a constant rotation of plausible suspects and worrying that it might for some reason have been Posy because she wasn't narrating for so long
