I really enjoy these two books in one things. Very cool idea. Overall, the stories are okay. It's good for early readers who like Paw Patrol, but neither story is amazing.
Thoughts on Break the Ice:
Cute story. It is simple and entertaining. I feel like I watched an Octonauts episode where essentially the same thing happens: the Octonauts have to save some belugas who can't swim all the way back to the open sea because they need to come up for air or something. So not necessarily a very unique story, but entertaining nonetheless. I was a bit concerned with how happy that whale looks despite being stuck and its mom freaking out, but whatever.
Thoughts on Everest Saves the Day:
This is Everest's origin story. Can't say it's all that exciting. Basically Jake keeps falling and Everest helps him then joins the team. Cute pictures, but not much of a story.
