I have so much to say about this book! But I do not like reading or writing long reviews. So I'll keep it short and sweet. This is such a beautiful love story but it addresses so many issues like trauma, trauma triggers, dyslexia and more. The way the author weaves these into this beautiful love story is amazing. These two were childhood besties and the universe found a way to bring them together as adults. Fate is not escapable! I always enjoy her writing but this is definitely my favorite by her.

Too slow, too predictable.

This was a really great romance between Jessie, a student of French who loves translating old documents, and Callum, the boy she meets in her teens and introduces to music, who grows up to be a world-famous composer. I loved their first meeting when they were young, and also the tension when they meet again as adults after a separation. This book had a great mix of tension and romance, with Callum facing writer’s block, and having lived a playboy’s life that Jessie wants no part of. Her work in France and the French setting was also nice.

The reveals that came later in the book were well done and didn’t feel manufactured. This was a romance that just worked really really well. I loved the way it slowly unfolded and watching the two of them struggle to find their happy ending.

Beautiful

This was such a beautiful story. This author knows how to gut me and this book did not disappoint. The author’s writing is so strong. It flows so perfectly and sucked me into Jessie and Callen’s journey. It would be awesome if we could read more about Nick someday!

More Than Words started off strong with an inviting and powerful prologue, but quickly lost momentum and appeal once the story started. I had no real reason to be intrigued by these characters and the connection they fostered many years ago when they felt like entirely different characters than who they were in the beginning. I didn't feel their sexual chemistry or really want to keep going in the story as there was no pull or draw to turn the pages, and ended up putting down the story many times over a month's time because I wasn't interested. I've enjoyed books by Mia before so I figure this story simply isn't for me, but I am looking forward to Mia's next book.

**Received an early copy; this had no bearing on my opinions**

It took me a while to get into the story, but as i continued reading I get captivated by the build up of romance between the characters ,its basically a childhood friend to lovers trope that got estranged for years not until their chance encounter in France , where they spend time and fall in love with each other. The story was told in alternating point of view of callen and jessica which made you see the misunderstandings that happens to both characters. I also like the mention of Joan of arc in the story and my favorite line told by her “Love fiercely and without regret”.
