If you start this knowing it's just a short, pure fantasy and you're going to suspend a lot of disbelief and just go with it, this is a really fun read. It's unflinching gay-for-you, develops very quickly and there's lubeless sex. Pretend this could actually happen, and it's very hot.
This is kinda a silly gay for you story, but it was still pretty hot. :D I enjoyed both the characters and their inevitable falling for each other. There's not a lot of plot to this story other than the internal debate and angsty obsessing over their own confused thoughts, but there's enough to keep the short interesting.
Geo Wilson doesn't know what to do about the incredibly erotic dreams he's begun having. If they were about one of the women he'd been used to banging it would be one thing, but they're not. It's not even that they're about a man so much as it is they're about his partner. He can't seem to get the images out of his head and looking at the man he trusts more than any other now he's sure his thoughts are written on his face. Geo doesn't know how he's going to be able to handle, especially when they've got a stakeout together the next night.
Mack knows something's going on in his partner's head. Seeing Geo downing beers isn't that unusual, but without eating anything and downing that many beers in quick succession certainly is going to result in a superior drunk. Still the last thing he ever expected is his straight best friend making a drunken pass on him. Ok, maybe not the last thing, the last thing would be admitting to himself how much he liked it.
I enjoyed both these straight boy cops and while Geo's drunken pass was a little more over the top than I would have expected from a straight guy. I would have thought the kiss was enough, but the rest I guess adds to the shock value and to really getting Mack thinking. I did enjoy the internal debates though with both guys.
For guys these two seem pretty willing to get things out in the open. Awkward start to their stakeout not withstanding. But they definitely have some hot chemistry together. I'm glad to know that their story continues in future books as this leaves things at a comfortable HFN. There's a lot these two still need to work out to be really sure and comfortable with each other. I'm curious though to see how they work things out with friends and co-workers. They're awesome together ignoring a little bit how quickly it all happened. I'll look at the rest of the series though. :D

Think the book had really great potential which it didn't get a chance to meet because it was so short, waste of a great plot idea but still good
