Great art and cool concept. Love the idea of each Chimera having a power based on a sense. Im used to graphic novels having at least 5 or 6 issues in it, so this one only having 4 made it feel disappointingly short. I wanted more context that I feel like im used to getting in other graphic novels. I dont like collecting or reading individual comics so i do look for graphic novels that give me a reason to keep caring. Im intrigued enough by the concepts presented to buy volume 2. But realistically, if it keeps being this vague and short and it starts taking too long to get new volumes out, I may fall off it.

I enjoyed the plot overall and am interested in reading the continuation of the story. The art is brilliantly rendered, especially considering the stark contrast between the flashback and “current” scenes.

I see why a lot of people would rate this book so low. It seems like it leaves the read with a lot of questions about how these characters pop up and what their purpose is. Sometimes, the answers to these questions come later on in the story, and as someone who is up to date on all issues of this comic, I can say that those questions are going to be answered. It may take a little while, and I understand why people don’t want to wait. I’m just saying, give it a chance, because I’ve been collecting it as each issue comes out and I don’t plan to stop until I get some answers.

this is one of those comics that feels like it desperately wants to be adapted to a TV show, and that's not really a good thing. it's not bad, but it's leaving out such significant chunks of backstory and context that it's hard to care about what happens by the end of the volume.

the art is really lovely, but i'm always weak for a comic that does panels in single colors, especially if they're willing to work in browns and greens.

Not for me, too gory and such for my horror taste, others will like it... me... eh.
