Synopsis: My name is Alana Montoya.

My husband is the King of L.A. And I am his Queen.

I never asked for this life, but now that it’s mine, I will fight for it with every breath in my body.

Our love is fire and fury, burning brighter than the heat of a thousand suns. But when secrets and betrayal threaten our chance at happiness, will the flames be enough to vanquish our enemies, and destroy our doubts and fears? Or will the ashes and embers of what we once had be all that remains?

A war is coming to L.A, and when it is over, only one side will be left standing.

A fierce King will burn the whole world down to get what he wants.

But, a wise King knows that he can’t win a war alone.

Because when all is said and done, everyone knows that the Queen is the most powerful player on the board.

Alana really grew so much in this story. I love her character and the love she shows not only towards Alex and his life, but Lucia and the other women at the shelter. She will do anything and everything for them and that's so incredible of her. Alex actually pissed me off on more than one occasion in this story. Yes Bobby is an ex of hers and he was a threat to her, but the way he reacted about her being alone with him, annoyed me. It's like he didn't trust her. I'm so glad he got his head out of his ass because Alana is amazing! I knew from get go who was causing all the problems and who kidnapped Lucia and Alana. But it was a twist that Lucia was a Montoya all alone. Them adopting her and then the epilogue where she's pregnant with twins was a perfect ending.

I read through these books so fast. Holy hell that was a hot duet. I love the chemistry between Alana & Alejandro and how their relationship blooms from hate to love. My only complaint is I want more of them <3

Another winner in this series. Absolutely loved it.

I did like Alana slightly less in this book as I thought she was being slightly immature & childish at times. Still loved Alejandro though.

I enjoyed seeing Alejandro having a soft side for Lucia

Plus the spice was great like the last one
