Liked the first book better. Editing knit pick: they used apostrophes instead of quotes around dialogue and it drove me insane.

Audiobook

There was nothing fierce about her.

This book has more suspense and action than the first one and I find it better with the plot. I can't say that Alana is THAT fierce, but I guess it's enough for Alejandro's eyes. Their love for each other has evolved significantly and their chemistry turned up a notch. This was indeed a page-turner and enjoyed it until the end. The epilogue was satisfying and well-written. I'd love to see them in the next book and hopefully see their growing family in the future.

"It's you who has rescued me. I think that my father has been wrong all along. Love is nota weakness. You are my greatest strength, Alana. I can do anything when I have you by my side." - Alejandro Montoya

loved this as much as the first one, loved that alejandro became so accepting of lucia & that they ended up adopting her at the end was adorable
alejandro - yes he was terrifying but he loved alana with his whole being & proved that when she was kidnapped by his uncle
alana - so strong for coping with the kidnapping & lucia not being who she said she was, they truly seem like a happy family
